陈振声：面对安全挑战 我国须做好准备和具适应力与韧性

今天（1日）是军人节，国防部长陈振声表示，我国在面临各项安全挑战之际，必须做好准备、适应转变、具备韧性，以捍卫我们所拥有的，并塑造未来。

陈振声在社交平台上传视频说，今年是我国独立60周年，也是新加坡武装部队成立60周年。他向一代代守护国家安全的国人致敬。

部长指出，在国家有需要时，武装部队都挺身而出，同时也为全球安全秩序、维和行动和人道救援行动做出了贡献。

部长说，我们曾经熟悉的全球秩序已不复存在。战争肆虐，权力更迭，规则被扭曲甚至打破。我国武装部队在海陆空和数码空间全面做好准备，不断提升应对现有和新兴威胁的能力。

他向全体新加坡人承诺，武装部队将坚定不移，共同守护新加坡的安全、稳定和主权，让我国世世代代安宁繁荣。

Over the past six decades, the peace and sovereignty of Singapore did not happen by chance. It is the result of the hard work, commitment, and professionalism of generations of SAF personnel. Our service personnel continue to defend Singapore across the air, land, sea, and digital domains as peace and stability can never be taken for granted. I am saddened to learn about a 30-year old NSman who had collapsed and passed away outside Maju Camp yesterday where he had earlier participated in a NS Fitness Improvement Training (NS FIT) session. The SAF has, as a precautionary measure, put a safety pause on all NS FIT training till this Friday, and is assisting the family during this difficult time. As we reaffirmed our pledge of commitment to Singapore and the SAF at the Combined Rededication Ceremony this SAF Day, let us be reminded that defending Singapore is a shared responsibility between the SAF and every Singaporean. Our support for defence is vital to the SAF’s success, and it gives our service personnel the strength and purpose to serve with pride.
