當局警告違規改裝車輛的車主可面臨最高5千元的罰款，或坐牢最長三個月、或兩者兼施。重犯者的刑罰加倍。
In the last 2 months, we conducted several targeted enforcement operations against illegal vehicle modifications island-wide. 141 vehicles were booked for various vehicle modification offences such as Modified Exhausts Decorative Lamps Improper License Plates Overly Tinted Windows Those caught with illegal modifications may face fines of up to $5,000, imprisonment of up to 3 months, or both. Penalties are doubled for repeat offenders. LTA will continue to take action against offenders with non-compliant vehicle modifications.
