民防人员在德惠巷解救一名受困在高楼外的工人。

民防部队在社交网站Facebook贴文说，民防人员下午5点半左右被动员后到德惠巷事发建筑的屋顶，评估悬挂在八楼和九楼之间的吊舱，以及吊舱内工人的情况。

过后，民防灾难拯救队人员从屋顶安装一个下降系统，让两名队员降到吊舱，再用安全带把受困工人固定在其中一名队员身上，然后安然降落到地面。

医护人员在场为工人进行检查，工人没有明显伤痕，而且拒绝送院。

[Height Rescue Operation @ 104 Teck Whye Lane] At about 5:30 p.m. today (30 Sep), SCDF was activated for a height rescue incident involving a worker who was stranded on a gondola between the 8th and 9th floor at the abovementioned location. SCDF firefighters from Bukit Batok Fire Station were the first to arrive and proceeded to the rooftop to assess the gondola's stability and the condition of the worker on the gondola. Specialists from the elite Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (DART) also responded and set up a lowering system from the rooftop to allow two DART specialists to descend to the gondola. The worker was then secured to a DART specialist with a body harness and safely lowered to the ground. The worker was assessed by an SCDF paramedic at the site. There were no visible injuries and the worker refused conveyance to the hospital.
