陸交局在社交網站Facebook貼文說，這個詐騙簡訊指收件人有逾期未繳的帳單，如果不繳清就會被罰款。簡訊指示收件人點擊簡訊中附上的連結，繳付款項。
當局表示，有關簡訊並不是當局發出的，而且看似釣魚詐騙。當局提醒收到這類簡訊或電郵的公眾不要點擊裡頭的連結，也不要向任何人透露個人資料或一次性密碼。
