我国采纳世卫建议 把猴痘从MonkeyPox改为mpox

我国采纳世界卫生组织的建议，把猴痘的英文名称从MonkeyPox改为mpox。
卫生部长王乙康在社交媒体Facebook贴文，宣布这个消息时说，当局接下来同医疗领域和公众沟通时，会使用新名称。
部长也指出，全球的猴痘疫情已显著趋稳，本地过去四个月，只出现两起确诊病例。
不过，他提醒国人仍须保持警惕，履行个人责任，注意个人健康，在感到不适时，避免同他人接触。
世卫组织是在日前建议修订猴痘的英文名称，以避免现有名称带来的污名化问题。
