本地家庭19日起可通过自动贩卖机 领取Bloobox居家回收箱

国家环境局这个星期天（19日）起，将通过设在全岛140多个地点的自动贩卖机，向每户家庭派发Bloobox居家回收箱。

环境局发表文告说，这项计划的目的是协助本地家庭认识如何正确回收，并减少蓝色回收箱的污染率。目前，这个大型回收箱的污染率约为40%。

文告指出，名为Bloobox的居家回收箱是当局和新加坡理工大学学生合作设计的，箱子可以折叠、清洗和重复使用，并可容纳重达五公斤的纸张、塑料品、金属或玻璃等可回收物及电子垃圾。

箱子上也有指示，协助人们辨识什么是可回收的物品，同时设有间隔，让人们可以把小件的电子垃圾隔开。

居民可在这个星期天（19日）早上9点开始，到设在全岛各地的民众俱乐部、指定巴士总站和其他公共空间的自动贩卖机扫码，领取环保箱，直到下个月底。

当局鼓励公众在领取前，到网站gowhere.gov.sg/bloobox了解自动贩卖机的地点和存货量。
