以巴冲突导致卡萨地带的人道主义形势日益严峻，有议员提出国会动议，要求在国会下个月6日复会时进行辩论。

三名议员都在社交网站Facebook的个人页面宣布有关消息，并指出，虽然卡萨距离我国很远，但他们和其他同僚都收到不少电邮和简讯，表达对当地局势和人道主义危机的关切，因此提出动议。

动议内容包括主张向卡萨平民提供紧急人道援助；敦促各方确保平民的安全，包括释放所有人质；呼吁所有新加坡人维护我国多元种族和宗教和谐。
