陳振聲在社交平台上傳視頻說，今年是我國獨立60周年，也是新加坡武裝部隊成立60周年。他向一代代守護國家安全的國人致敬。
部長指出，在國家有需要時，武裝部隊都挺身而出，同時也為全球安全秩序、維和行動和人道救援行動做出了貢獻。
部長說，我們曾經熟悉的全球秩序已不復存在。戰爭肆虐，權力更迭，規則被扭曲甚至打破。我國武裝部隊在海陸空和數碼空間全面做好準備，不斷提升應對現有和新興威脅的能力。
他向全體新加坡人承諾，武裝部隊將堅定不移，共同守護新加坡的安全、穩定和主權，讓我國世世代代安寧繁榮。
Over the past six decades, the peace and sovereignty of Singapore did not happen by chance. It is the result of the hard work, commitment, and professionalism of generations of SAF personnel. Our service personnel continue to defend Singapore across the air, land, sea, and digital domains as peace and stability can never be taken for granted. I am saddened to learn about a 30-year old NSman who had collapsed and passed away outside Maju Camp yesterday where he had earlier participated in a NS Fitness Improvement Training (NS FIT) session. The SAF has, as a precautionary measure, put a safety pause on all NS FIT training till this Friday, and is assisting the family during this difficult time. As we reaffirmed our pledge of commitment to Singapore and the SAF at the Combined Rededication Ceremony this SAF Day, let us be reminded that defending Singapore is a shared responsibility between the SAF and every Singaporean. Our support for defence is vital to the SAF’s success, and it gives our service personnel the strength and purpose to serve with pride.
