他也貼文說，國慶群眾大會闊別兩年後，再次回到工藝教育中區學院。他在2013年第一次在那裡發表演講。當時，他說，選擇這個場地凸顯了他為這個國家的每一個人進行投資的承諾，並強調新加坡正處於一個轉捩點。他說，今時今日，這比以往任何時候都更真實。
