本地著名食評家司徒國輝(KF Seetoh)在Facebook發文透露,徐炎珍昨天(15日)過世。
早期的辣椒蟹僅僅是用番茄醬爆炒。後來徐炎珍和丈夫在1956年在經營海鮮攤位時,發現加入辣椒醬之後味道更好。這個食譜也成了我們如今熟悉的新加坡道地美食辣椒螃蟹。
他們沿加冷河售賣辣椒螃蟹,大賣後開了一家名為棕櫚灘海鮮(Palm Beach Seafood)的餐館。
繼承衣缽的兒子Roland 如今位於馬林百列多層停車場六樓的東皇(Roland)餐館還售賣原味的番茄辣椒螃蟹。
