陸路交通管理局推出一款以人工智慧驅動的自動化人行道檢查系統，不但能節省檢查時間，還能減少人力。

陸交局在社交網站Facebook發文介紹名為「Pathwatcher」的新系統時說，系統被裝置在腳踏車上。工作人員在人行道和腳踏車道上騎著改裝後的腳踏車，系統就會通過人工智慧技術，偵測和拍攝路面上的裂縫或破損情況，並自動生成報告。

陸交局說，在這之前，工作人員必須靠徒步行走，親自檢查路面，然後用手機拍攝。有了Pathwatcher，每天的檢查時間縮短了三個小時，所需人力也減少了三成。

目前，當局已在全島大約七成的人行道和腳踏車道使用這款系統進行檢查。
